Sr. Mary Caroline
At 9:00 this morning we had the funeral mass of our dear Sr Mary Caroline.
This past February Sr Mary Caroline was diagnosed as suffering from cancer of the pancreas already in its advanced stage. She accepted the news serenely offering herself to the Lord. She passed away on March 19th right on the day of her 60th anniversary of profession.
Sr Caroline herself writes, "As I look back over my years as a Daughter of St. Paul, I can truthfully say I have been very happy. Jesus has been so good to me." And in another place, "Mary has always been my favorite. She has helped me in so many ways. I owe my life, my Pauline vocation to her."
We will surely miss Sr. Mary Caroline but trust that she is watching out for all of us from a beautiful place in heaven.

What a beautiful picture of a beautiful Sister! It's so obvious that S. Caroline touched so many lives. May her spirit of gentleness and acceptance live on in us!

Another saint in heaven! I have many memories of Sr. Mary Caroline's humility and her joyful spirit. When I think about her, I remember her beautiful smile. Pray for us, Sr. Caroline!

I second agree to Maryann's comment...and I remember her prayful spirit--the Angelus and Guardian Angel prayers and her "joke for the day" and more....I'm sure she's busy praying for us in heaven right now.

It was unfortunate that I was unable to meet her. I was actually staying at the motherhouse for the holy week "come and see retreat" when me and the rest of the retreatants woke up to find out that a sister passed away. It was a blessing to be able to hear all the graces that Sr. Mary Caroline brought into many lives.
Sr. Mary Caroline:
Please Bless us and help us be honest and open to the will of God

Wow..i just came across this blog as i was looking for info on the Pope's trip to DC....
i was a pre-postulant, then postulant from 1979-1982 and i remember Sr Caroline so very well. i am pretty sure she is the most gentle soul i have ever encountered.
Rest in peace and enjoy your eternal reward.
